Chair Massage

Massage is the practice of applying friction techniques to the body. It's effects relaxing and therapeutic effects can be felt almost immediately.

What was once considered just a relaxing type of therapy is now regarded as a great form of physical therapy as well. It's benefits include but are not limited to:

Relief of neck, shoulder, back pain and increases range of motion

  • Enhances immunity by stimulating lymph flow

  • Reduces muscle spasms and cramping
  • Reduces post surgery swelling and helps in smoothing and diminishing scars
  • It releases endorphins that serve as the bodies natural pain killer
  • Assists in alleviating the symptoms of PTSD as well as other stress related anxiety disorders
  • Arthritis sufferers note fewer aches and less stiffness and pain.

CranioSacral Therapy

Each foot contains over 7,000 nerve endings!

AceMassage Cupping

The touch is one of gentleness yet the experience to the person and it's benefits are very profound.Benefits include but are not limited to significant improvement in pain, anxiety, and and sleep quality to those who suffer from:

Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid arthritis, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities,
seizure disorders, depressive reactions, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD),
menstrual dysfunction, motor dysfunction, temporomandibular joint problems (TMJ),
various headaches, chronic pain problems, and chronic fatigue syndrome."

In essence we have three rhythmic motions in our body, our breath, our heart rate and our brain/spinal cord now known as CranioSacral rhythm. A rhythmic movement of the outermost membrane around the brain and spinal cord was discovered (accidentally) by a brain surgeon while assisting during a surgery in the 1970's. His task was to hold the dura (membrane) while the other surgeon proceeded with his procedure; no matter how he tried he could not hold it and realized that this membrane has it's own rhythmic movement!

During a CranioSacral treatment this rhythm is gently monitored to detect and release imbalances and restrictions in the membrane that can cause sensory, motor, or neurological dysfunctions. I will Not state that this therapy cures disease, but it is used to facilitate the body's ability to self-correct. In the end there isn't a person who has experienced this type of therapy who hasn't noted that the technique itself is one of ultimate relaxation to the nervous system.

I am very proud to be one of the few practitioners listed to offer this wonderful modality in Houston.

Current vacuum therapies are a modern use of an ancient tool and possess the benefits of traditional use, along with many incredible new applications. This therapy utilizes glass or plastic cups and a vacuum pistol, bulb or machine to create suction on the body surface.  These cups are moved over the skin using gliding, shaking, popping and rotating techniques while gently pulling up on the cup, and are parked for a short time to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release.  This suction can reach deep into the soft tissue or can work superficially to pull inflammation and toxins toward the surface so that the skin and lymphatic system can readily eliminate them. Scar tissues often release quickly, despite the age of the injury or keloid tendencies.

One of the most amazing aspects of this technique is the "separation" that the vacuum produces in tissue layers. This enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue, which is invaluable in pre- and post-surgery treatments. It is becoming evident that separation of fused, congested soft tissue and increase in tissue function can be a catalyst for change in many current health conditions.

VacuTherapies™ can comfortably:

  • Decrease or relieve pain and inflammation from injury or chronic conditions.

  • Relieve deep muscular issues and reduces muscle spasms.
  • Release and soften scar tissue and loosen post-surgery adhesions.
  • Lift and stretch soft tissue to separate fascia and restrictions.
  • Increase range of movement and flexibility in joints.
  • Promote healthy circulation and open the energy flow of the body.
  • Move stagnation and enable normal lymphatic flow.
  • Enhance any athletic training program to improve performance.
  • Reduce “Solid Bloat”.

Most individuals suffer from pain, stiffness, soreness in the back, neck, head and shoulders due to postural stress from long term sitting, standing and computer work. Prolonged muscle tension around the shoulders neck and back has been known to cause symptoms such as blurred vision, tension headaches, trigger migraines, and produce and overall feeling of fatigue.
Chair massage has some amazing benefits! One of the benefits felt almost immediately is the easing of pain and relaxing of the tension in our muscles. Massage helps lower anxiety, it decreases stress thus improving sleep quality, it improves circulation, reduces swelling in joints, and provides relief from headaches. It can also improve energy, and provide an overall feeling of well being.
